Media Policy Institute, starting from September 2010 till April 2011, is implementing a project on “legal protection of journalists.”
The main aim of the project is to ensure qualified legal advice to mass media representatives — through legal consultations and protection in courts.
The main beneficiary of our project is the media of Kyrgyzstan. Thus, by strengthening media, the ultimate beneficiary of the project, contractor will have an impact on the population of Kyrgyzstan, more specifically, on the citizens’ ability to participate in the development of civil society via freedom of expression.
The project is financed by Media Legal Defense Initiative (MLDI).
